Heart of the City Festival: a music and arts celebration
Showcasing diverse music and art of Edmonton's city core

This year, the festival goes from 11 AM to 10 PM on June 7th, 2008. It going to be in Giovanni Caboto Park, in Little Italy at the corner of 95th St. and 108 Ave [map]. This is a grass roots, all original music day in the park. We’re also looking forward to expanding on some of the happenings from last year's event such as bringing in more dancing, incorporating a drum circle and making the festival even more interactive.

As one of the first summer festivals, Heart of the City showcases all genres and talent levels in music and art. And if a full day of music and art isn’t good enough on its own, it's free! You can walk into Giovanni Caboto park, browse the art tents, get your child’s face painted, grab a bite to eat, check out the local shops for some gelato, and enjoy the sun and grass as you sit down to watch the live entertainment.
